BJ PASCUAL

BJ Pascual was born in Los Angeles, California. At three months old he moved to a small town in Cavite, Philippines where was raised by his grandparents. After taking a slew of classes in New York's Parsons School of Design, Fashion Institute of Technology, and the International Center for Photography, he came home to Manila and promptly staked his claim on the city's burgeoning fashion industry, producing a formidable body of work that includes some of the era's most memorable fashion and celebrity images.

His work has become omnipresent among the covers of the country's most distinguished publications—Preview, Mega, LÓfficiel Manila, Rogue, Esquire Philippines, Cosmopolitan Philippines, and Philippine Tatler, among them—as well as the billboards and ads that line the country's major highways. In recent years, he's expanded his portfolio by shooting for international publications like Pansy, Suitcase and OutThere, and working with international personalities like Coco Rocha, Sky Ferreira, Pietro Boselli, Noah Centineo, and Troye Sivan.

In 2015, he condensed the milestones and learnings of the first few years of his career in the book Push: Muses, Mischief, & How to Make it in Manila, which became an instant bestseller and social media sensation. Today, not only is he one of the country’s most in-demand photographers but he is also an increasingly popular social media personality in his own right- appearing in several magazine covers himself, and working with brands like Calvin Klein, Samsung, Loewe, and Louis Vuitton.
