Paolo Pineda's journey in photography sprouted at a young age. His father, a journalistic photographer, strongly encouraged him to take up the craft during the Martial Law years. Those years have been proven to be a great foundation for the creative career he was about to pursue in the future years.

Being self-taught, Paolo fed his mind and honed his skills by attending workshops and lessons in his spare time. Even without a formal education in photography, Paolo's innate artistic ability always shone through. He began shooting professionally in 2002 for several printed publications. Magazines began to take notice of his work. Summit Media, a magazine publisher, convinced him to take on his craft full time. He has not look back eversince.
